Description

Deliciously soft and chewy sprinkle cookies, perfect for any occasion!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg, room temperature
  • 1 large egg yolk, room temperature
  • 1 Tbsp whole milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp almond extract (optional)
  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ½ cup red and green jimmies sprinkles
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar, for rolling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2–3 minutes.
  3. Mix in egg, egg yolk, milk, vanilla extract, and almond extract until smooth.
  4. Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until a soft dough forms.
  6. Gently fold in red and green sprinkles until evenly distributed.
  7. Scoop dough, roll into balls, coat in sugar, and place on baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 8–10 minutes until edges are set and centers remain soft.
  9. Cool briefly on baking sheet, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

  • For a more intense flavor, increase almond extract to ½ tsp.
  • Make sure the butter is at room temperature for the best texture.
