Description
A delicious and creamy linguine pasta dish with ground beef.
Ingredients

- 12 oz linguine
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small yellow onion, finely diced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley or thyme, chopped (optional)
- 1/2 cup reserved pasta water (as needed)
Instructions
- Cook linguine in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.
- Melt butter in skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook until translucent. Add garlic and sauté briefly.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in heavy cream and simmer gently. Add parmesan gradually, stirring constantly until smooth.
- Toss cooked linguine into sauce. Add reserved pasta water as needed to loosen.
- Plate in tall nest, top with beef, garnish with parsley and extra parmesan. Serve immediately.
Notes
- For a spicier dish, increase the amount of red pepper flakes.
- You can substitute ground turkey for a lighter option.
