Description

A delicious and creamy linguine pasta dish with ground beef.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz linguine
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small yellow onion, finely diced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley or thyme, chopped (optional)
  • 1/2 cup reserved pasta water (as needed)

Instructions

  1. Cook linguine in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.
  2. Melt butter in skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook until translucent. Add garlic and sauté briefly.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and simmer gently. Add parmesan gradually, stirring constantly until smooth.
  5. Toss cooked linguine into sauce. Add reserved pasta water as needed to loosen.
  6. Plate in tall nest, top with beef, garnish with parsley and extra parmesan. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a spicier dish, increase the amount of red pepper flakes.
  • You can substitute ground turkey for a lighter option.
