- 8 oz rotini pasta
- 1 lb lean ground beef (or turkey)
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the rotini pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onion in olive oil until translucent (about 5 minutes). Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Increase heat slightly and add ground beef; cook until browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon.
- Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer gently for 10 minutes.
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce, mixing well until all noodles are coated.
- Serve in bowls topped with shredded cheese if desired.

- This dish can be made with ground turkey for a lighter option.
