Description

A hearty and flavorful dish featuring rotini pasta, ground beef, and a rich tomato sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz rotini pasta
  • 1 lb lean ground beef (or turkey)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the rotini pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onion in olive oil until translucent (about 5 minutes). Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  3. Increase heat slightly and add ground beef; cook until browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer gently for 10 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce, mixing well until all noodles are coated.
  6. Serve in bowls topped with shredded cheese if desired.
