Description

A simple and delicious glaze to decorate sugar cookies.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • optional food coloring (gel-based preferred)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix powdered sugar, milk, and corn syrup until smooth.
  2. Stir in vanilla extract.
  3. Adjust consistency as needed with small amounts of milk or powdered sugar.
  4. Divide glaze and add food coloring if desired.
  5. Use a piping bag, spoon, or squeeze bottle to glaze cooled sugar cookies.
  6. Let cookies dry at room temperature for 4–6 hours until glaze is fully set.

Notes

  • This glaze can be made ahead of time and stored in an airtight container.
  • For a thicker consistency, add more powdered sugar; for a thinner consistency, add more milk.
