- 2 tbsp Butter softened
- 2 tbsp Mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese freshly grated
- 2 tbsp Green onion chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic crushed
- 1 dash Tabasco
- to taste Salt
- to taste Pepper
- 1/2 tbsp Lemon juice
- 2 pieces Halibut fillets 1 inch thick
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and lightly grease a baking dish just large enough to hold the halibut fillets without overcrowding.
- Combine the softened butter, mayonnaise, freshly grated Parmesan cheese, chopped green onions, crushed garlic, Tabasco, salt, pepper, and lemon juice in a medium bowl. Mix thoroughly until the ingredients form a smooth, creamy paste.
- Pat the halibut fillets completely dry with paper towels and season both sides lightly with salt and pepper.
- Spread the garlic Parmesan mixture generously over the top of each fillet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the topping turns golden brown and bubbles around the edges.
- Let the halibut rest for 2-3 minutes before serving.
- Serve immediately while the topping is still crispy.
