Description

A refreshing blend of ginger, oranges, and lemons for a healthy boost!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium oranges, peeled and cut into wedges
  • 2 medium lemons, peeled and cut into wedges
  • ½ cup (100 grams) fresh ginger, peeled and cut into small chunks (adjust more or less depending on how strong you like it)
  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups coconut water (or substitute with water)

Instructions

  1. Add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend on high until smooth, 30 to 60 seconds.
  2. Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a large bowl, using a spoon to help push the juice through. (For an extra-smooth shot, use a cheesecloth or nut milk bag instead.)
  3. Use a funnel to fill small glasses or shot bottles with the juice. Repeat until all juice is poured.
  4. Seal the bottles or cover the glasses and place them in the refrigerator to chill before enjoying.
  5. Store your ginger shots in airtight bottles or jars in the refrigerator for up to 1 week, but they taste best within 3 to 5 days.

Notes

  • Adjust ginger quantity depending on desired strength.
  • Can substitute coconut water with regular water.
