Enjoy your delicious Grilled Glazed Salmon Fillet!
Ingredients
- 2 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Chopped green onions, for garnish
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
-
Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and lime juice.
-
Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour half of the marinade over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to infuse. Reserve the remaining marinade for glazing.
-
Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
-
Grill the Salmon: Remove the salmon from the marinade, season with salt and pepper, and place them on the grill, skin-side down. Grill for about 4-5 minutes per side or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
-
Glaze the Salmon: During the last 2 minutes of grilling, brush the reserved marinade over the top of the salmon to create a glossy glaze.
-
Serve: Transfer the grilled salmon to a serving plate. Sprinkle with chopped green onions and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
Notes
- For a smokier flavor, try adding wood chips to your grill.
- Ensure the grill is properly preheated to achieve those desirable grill marks and prevent sticking.
- You can add a pinch of chili flakes to the marinade for a hint of spice.
- If using an oven, broil the salmon for similar results, watching closely to prevent burning.
