Description

Enjoy your delicious Grilled Glazed Salmon Fillet!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and lime juice.

  2. Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour half of the marinade over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to infuse. Reserve the remaining marinade for glazing.

  3. Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.

  4. Grill the Salmon: Remove the salmon from the marinade, season with salt and pepper, and place them on the grill, skin-side down. Grill for about 4-5 minutes per side or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  5. Glaze the Salmon: During the last 2 minutes of grilling, brush the reserved marinade over the top of the salmon to create a glossy glaze.

  6. Serve: Transfer the grilled salmon to a serving plate. Sprinkle with chopped green onions and serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

  • For a smokier flavor, try adding wood chips to your grill.
  • Ensure the grill is properly preheated to achieve those desirable grill marks and prevent sticking.
  • You can add a pinch of chili flakes to the marinade for a hint of spice.
  • If using an oven, broil the salmon for similar results, watching closely to prevent burning.
