A delicious baked dish combining ground beef, zucchini, and cheddar cheese.
Ingredients

- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 2 medium zucchinis, sliced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups cooked pasta (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onion in olive oil until softened. Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional 30 seconds.
- Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned; drain excess fat.
- Stir in sliced zucchini, tomato sauce, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
- In a greased baking dish, layer half of the meat mixture followed by cheese. Repeat layers, finishing with cheese on top.
- Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until cheese is melted and golden.
Notes
- Feel free to add other vegetables or spices according to preference.
- Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
