- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
- In a bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Combine the wet and dry ingredients gently.
- Fill each donut cavity halfway with batter and bake for 10–12 minutes until golden.
- While cooling, mix cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth for the filling.
- Once cooled, fill each donut with the cream cheese mixture and top with brown sugar.
- Use a kitchen torch or broiler to caramelize the topping.

- For extra flavor, consider adding spices like nutmeg or cinnamon to the batter.
- Donuts can be refrigerated and reheated in the microwave for a soft texture.
