Description
A delicious and creamy fettuccine pasta dish featuring blackened shrimp and steak, perfect for a special dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak
- 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp blackening seasoning
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Boil salted water in a large pot. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a small bowl, mix paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper to create the blackening seasoning.
- Rub the steak generously with the seasoning on both sides.
- Heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat with butter. Sear the steak for 4–5 minutes per side until desired doneness. Remove from pan and let rest before slicing.
- In the same skillet, add more butter if needed. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds), then add seasoned shrimp and cook for 3–4 minutes until pink.
- Pour heavy cream into the skillet and bring to a simmer while stirring frequently until slightly thickened. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
- Add cooked pasta, sliced steak, and shrimp to the sauce, mixing well before garnishing with chopped parsley.
Notes
- This dish can be served with a side of garlic bread and a salad for a complete meal.
- Feel free to adjust the seasoning level to your preference.
