This delicious Chocolate Banana Bread combines the sweetness of ripe bananas with rich cocoa and chocolate chips for a delightful treat.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp espresso powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (or brown sugar)
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, espresso powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Mix melted butter and sugar in a bowl before adding eggs and mashed bananas; combine until smooth.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture; fold until just combined.
  6. Gently stir in chocolate chips.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
