Description
This creamy beef pasta is a comforting dish perfect for weeknight dinners, packed with flavor and easy to prepare.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small yellow onion, finely diced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 3 cups beef broth
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 12 ounces short pasta (penne, rotini, or shells)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Sauté the Aromatics: In a large skillet or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onions and sauté until translucent and soft, about 4–5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Brown the Beef: Add the ground beef to the pan, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Cook until browned and no longer pink. Drain excess fat if needed. Sprinkle in Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Simmer the Pasta: Pour in the beef broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil. Stir in the uncooked pasta, reduce heat to low, and cover. Simmer for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is al dente and has absorbed most of the liquid.
- Add the Cheese: Remove the lid and stir in the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce becomes thick and creamy. Let it rest for a few minutes to allow the sauce to cling to the pasta perfectly.
- Serve and Enjoy: Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the top and serve warm. Pair with garlic bread or a crisp green salad for a full meal.
