This rich and moist chocolate cake is perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients

- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk (or almond/oat milk)
- ½ cup vegetable oil (or melted butter)
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a heart-shaped cake pan.
- In a large bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and sugar.
- In another bowl, whisk eggs until frothy. Add milk, oil, and vanilla; mix well.
- Gradually combine wet and dry ingredients until smooth; avoid over-mixing.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool for 10 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack. Decorate as desired.
