This delicious sour cream coffee cake is perfect for brunch or dessert.

- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat butter until creamy. Gradually add granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then stir in sour cream until well combined.
- Slowly mix in dry ingredients until just combined.
- For the topping: Mix brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle half into the batter before adding the remaining batter on top, followed by the rest of the topping.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool before slicing.
Notes
- Make sure to use softened butter for easy creaming.
- Can be served with a dusting of powdered sugar on top.
