- Prepare the Cake Batter: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish generously. Prepare the chocolate cake mix as directed on the box. Pour the cake batter evenly into the prepared pan. Set aside.
- Mix the Ricotta Layer: In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and creamy. This will look similar to a cheesecake filling. Carefully spoon this mixture over the chocolate cake batter, covering the entire surface without mixing the two layers together.
