Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- to taste salt and pepper
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 pre-made pizza crust (or homemade if preferred)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Optional: pickles and mustard for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Cook Ground Beef: In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook until fully browned, then drain excess fat.

- Prepare the Pizza Crust: Roll out your pizza crust on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
- Layer Ingredients: Spread the cooked ground beef evenly over the crust. Top with the caramelized onions, then sprinkle both types of cheese on top.
- Add Butter: Dot the top of the pizza with small pieces of butter to enhance flavor and crispiness.
- Bake: Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the crust is golden brown.
- Optional Toppings: If desired, add pickles and a drizzle of mustard on top after baking for an authentic patty melt experience.
- Slice and Serve: Once baked, allow the pizza to cool for a few minutes. Slice into wedges and serve warm.
