Description

A delicious stir-fry featuring chicken marinated in a citrus and ginger sauce, served with green onions for garnish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lbs)
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 3 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, orange juice, and red pepper flakes to create the marinade.
  3. Coat chicken pieces evenly in cornstarch for crispiness.
  4. Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Sauté chicken in batches until golden brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Pour the marinade into the skillet and simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened.
  7. Toss in chopped green onions just before serving.
