Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the butter with granulated and brown sugar until fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, folding gently until just combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips and any optional mix-ins.
- Scoop generous portions onto the prepared sheets, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden around the edges but still soft in the center.
- Cool slightly before enjoying.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week.
